Happy Medium?

In my interactions with the male gender, I feel like I fluctuate between coming across as a stalker girl and standoffish B****. Where's the "middle"...and what does that look like?!

    Oh my goodness! I can definitely relate to the second personality. I can't really bring myself to chat with a member of the opposite gender, for fear that they will misinterpret my intentions. This is going on the idea that sex is really all guys think about, and the fact that you may be attached or committed to someone else is irrelevant to them. It makes me want to just come out and say "I'm really NOT flirting in the least, despite what you may think...so can we just be friends?" But I think that might be a little drastic lol.
    Sorry this wasn't helpful at all; I just wanted to let you know that I have the same difficulties :P :)
